Home Alone has succeeded in establishing itself as a Christmas classic. Macaulay Culkin plays Kevin McCallister, the average American child with an attitude almost expected of a Chris Columbus film from the eighties. He was an American hero for every child his age, and is antics throughout , anchor the film. He has strong support from all the cast, and although Katherine O’Hara as his mother, has little to do, her easily aggravated character goes on her own journey as she follows her instinctive nature to care for her child. She also produces one of the films most beloved catchprases - “Kevin!”
